Who runs Rideworker, and why it exists

Rideworker started from a simple observation: couriers and rideshare drivers make decisions worth hundreds of euros based on hearsay, outdated Facebook posts and fleet sales pitches.

Who we are

Rideworker is run by a small independent editorial team based in the EU. We are not a fleet, not a recruiter and not employed by any gig platform. The person responsible for the content on this site is Jakov Dokic, reachable at jakov@rideworker.com.

Why the site exists

Before signing up, a driver in Warsaw, Bucharest, Ljubljana or Belgrade faces the same questions: which platform actually pays better in my city, which fleet will onboard me fastest, and is that sign-up bonus real or does it come with conditions nobody mentions? The answers are scattered across platform pages in different languages, fleet WhatsApp groups and word of mouth.

Rideworker puts those answers in one place, in plain language, for Uber, Bolt, Wolt, Glovo, Free Now, Deliveroo, Stuart and similar platforms — country by country.

How fleets fit in

Most gig platforms in Europe do not hire drivers directly in every market. Instead, independent fleet partners and aggregators handle onboarding, documents, vehicles and payouts locally. Rideworker is not one of them: we do not operate a fleet, manage drivers or onboard anyone. What we do is explain how those fleets work in each country so you can compare them — the commission, the payout day, the car rental and the paperwork — before you sign with one.

If we ever earn a referral fee from a fleet or platform, we label it on the page. It never costs you anything, never comes out of your earnings, and never decides what we publish. The full explanation is on our referral transparency page.

How we keep information honest

Bonus amounts and pay figures come from interviews with working drivers and couriers, checked against official platform pages, and every figure carries a "last checked" date. The full process is described on how we verify information.
